Daniel Mejia from Puerto Rico has been crowned the new Mr. World, securing the prestigious title for his country for the first time. The competition, held on Saturday night in Vietnam, saw the 27-year-old singer and model overcome more than 70 contestants to win the coveted title. Last year’s winner, Jack Heslewood from England, had the honor of crowning the new champion.

Mejia also excelled in the sports category, earning a spot in the top 20, and won the “Talent Competition,” further solidifying his victory.

In contrast, Nepal faced disappointment as it was eliminated before the final 20 were announced. Nepal’s representative, Santosh Lokshum, did not make it past the early stages of the competition.

This year has been a challenging one for Nepal in international beauty pageants. The country was unable to secure a spot in the top 20 in major competitions, including Miss Earth, Miss International, Miss Universe, and Mr. World. The date and venue for this year’s Miss World competition are still to be announced.
