Bhutan’s King and Queen Arrive in Kathmandu for Private Visit

King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Queen Jetsun Pema Wangchuck of Bhutan have arrived in Kathmandu this morning for a brief private visit. During their stay, the royal couple is set to visit two of Nepal’s most iconic religious sites: Swayambhu and Boudhanath.

After offering prayers at Swayambhu, the couple will proceed to the renowned Boudhanath Stupa. Their visit is expected to be short, with the royal pair scheduled to depart from Kathmandu at around 2:40 pm.
