Gold Prices Surge by Rs 2,100 per Tola in Nepal, Silver Also Sees Significant Rise
Gold prices in Nepal saw a sharp increase on Tuesday, rising by Rs 2,100 per tola compared to the previous day. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, fine gold is now being traded at Rs 152,200 per tola, up from Rs 150,100 on Monday. This surge comes after a period of fluctuating prices around Rs 150,000 per tola, following a decrease from Rs 167,200 per tola due to a customs rate adjustment from 20% to 10%. In addition to gold, silver prices also experienced a notable rise, increasing by Rs 60 per tola. Silver is now priced at Rs 1,925 per tola, up from Rs 1,865 on Monday. The recent increases in both gold and silver prices mark a significant shift in the market, which had seen only minor fluctuations in recent days.
