A new study has highlighted that the lack of quality healthcare services, rather than mere inaccessibility, is a significant factor contributing to the high mortality rate in Nepal.

On the occasion of Universal Health Coverage (UHC) Day, Achyut Raj Pandey of the Nepal Health Economics Association revealed that approximately 66,000 people die each year in the country due to inadequate healthcare services. Pandey emphasized the urgent need for improved healthcare quality to reduce preventable deaths and ensure better health outcomes for the population.
