Former Kathmandu Mayor PL Singh Passes Away at 85

The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has declared a mourning holiday today on the demise of former Mayor PL Singh.

Former Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC), PL Singh, has passed away this morning at his residence in Chaksibari, Thamel. He was 85 years old. Singh, who served as the mayor of the then KMC after winning the local elections in 2049 BS, had been battling health issues for an extended period. Despite undergoing stomach surgery last year, his health continued to decline.

Singh’s passing marks the end of a significant chapter in Kathmandu’s political history, as he was a prominent figure in the city’s local governance.
