Karnali Yaks Reach NPL Playoffs as Sudurpaschim Royals Fall Short

Karnali Yaks secured their spot in the Nepal Premier League (NPL) playoffs following a dramatic turn of events in the final match of the group stage. Sudurpaschim Royals, chasing a target of 102 runs set by Karnali Yaks, lost three wickets in 12.2 overs and managed only 72 runs, allowing Karnali Yaks to advance to the next stage based on their superior run rate.

Sudurpaschim Royals completed the chase within 13 overs, Kathmandu Gurkhas would have progressed to the playoffs. However, Sudurpaschim’s failure to reach the target in the required time meant that the Gurkhas were eliminated from the competition.

Karnali Yaks now become the fourth team to make it to the NPL playoffs, joining the top contenders for the upcoming knockout stage.
