Over 10,000 Foreign Tourists Visit Manaslu Region in 2024, Marking a Significant Increase
A significant boost in tourism was recorded in the Manaslu region of Gorkha in 2024, with 10,605 foreign visitors exploring the stunning landscapes and rich culture of the area. This marks a notable increase of 1,428 tourists compared to the previous year, according to Bhuwan Raj Ojha, the Conservation Officer and Information Officer at the Manaslu Conservation Area Project (MCAP). The growing number of international visitors highlights the region’s rising appeal as a trekking and adventure destination. The Manaslu region, known for its breathtaking mountain views and cultural heritage, has become a sought-after location for nature enthusiasts and trekkers from around the world. Ojha expressed optimism about the steady growth of tourism in the area, emphasizing that the increase in tourist numbers is a positive sign for the local economy and the conservation efforts in the region.
