The explosion was triggered when individuals attempted to transfer gasoline from one tanker into another truck using a generator. The transfer sparked the explosion, leading to the deaths of those involved in the operation as well as nearby bystanders, according to Hussaini Isah of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).
