President Donald Trump signed an executive order to release thousands of government documents about the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, Senator Robert F. Kennedy, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. These deaths have been the subject of conspiracy theories for many years.

Trump had promised during his campaign to make these documents public. In the past, he had delayed some releases after requests from the CIA and FBI to keep certain documents secret.

Trump’s new order directs officials to come up with a plan to release the JFK records in 15 days and the RFK and Martin Luther King Jr. records within 45 days. However, it is unclear exactly when the documents will be made available to the public.

Trump also nominated Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the son of the assassinated senator, to be the new Health Secretary. Kennedy Jr. has questioned whether a lone gunman was behind his uncle’s death.

Trump said, “Everything will be revealed,” hinting that the public will soon have access to these long-secret documents.
