Plane Crash in South Sudan Kills 20, One Survivor Found

A plane crashed in northern South Sudan, killing at least 20 people, with only one confirmed survivor, according to Unity State’s minister for information. The aircraft went down near the oil fields in Unity State around 10:30 AM local time, shortly after taking off for the capital, Juba. The crash occurred just 500 meters from the airport. There were 21 people on board, and the sole survivor, a South Sudanese engineer, has been taken to Bentiu State hospital for treatment.
