A plane crashed in a busy neighborhood of Philadelphia on Friday, killing all six people on board. The plane was a medical air ambulance carrying a child, her mother, and four crew members. The plane was heading back to Mexico after the child had received medical care in Philadelphia.

The crash happened around 6:00 pm, shortly after the plane took off from Northeast Philadelphia Airport. Video footage shows the plane descending at a steep angle before it crashed, causing a large fireball and spreading wreckage across homes and cars in the area.

The aircraft, a Learjet 55, was operated by Jet Rescue Air Ambulance. The company said they could not confirm if anyone survived. The victims were all Mexican citizens, including the child, who was being transported by the air ambulance back to Mexico after treatment at Shriners Children’s Philadelphia.

President Donald Trump expressed his sadness over the crash, calling it “so sad” and noting the loss of “innocent souls.” He also praised the first responders for their quick work at the scene.
