Egypt to Host Emergency Arab Summit after Trump’s Gaza Comments

Egypt has announced it will host an emergency Arab summit on February 27 following US President Donald Trump’s comments suggesting that Washington could take control of the Gaza Strip.

The summit will focus on the “latest and serious developments” in the Palestinian territories, according to Egypt’s Foreign Ministry. On Sunday, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty also traveled to Washington for talks with US officials about the situation.
