Bus Crash in Guatemala Kills over 51, Many Injured

At least 51 people have died and many others injured after a bus fell into a polluted ravine outside Guatemala City. The bus was traveling along a busy route when it plunged from a bridge on Monday. Rescue workers were still trying to free people trapped in the wreckage.

So far, bodies of 36 men and 15 women have been taken to the morgue. The head of Guatemala declared three days of national mourning, deploying the army and disaster teams to assist in the response. The rescue team is at the scene as well, as police assist with rescue efforts and in reordering traffic around the scene. This is an incident which has shaken the country as its leaders proclaimed condolences for this fatal accident to families of victims who died in it.
