Trump to Impose Ultimatum to Release Hostage, End Ceasefire
US President Donald Trump issued a Saturday deadline for the release of all hostages from Gaza, threatening that if the hostages were not freed by then, he would call for the end of the Israel-Hamas ceasefire. Trump lambasted Hamas for threatening to delay further exchanges and said that if all hostages weren’t returned by noon on Saturday, “hell would break out.” He said he would speak to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about the situation. He had threatened to cut US aid to Jordan and Egypt if they refused to take in the Palestinians under his controversial plan for the US to “take over” Gaza. He further put up that under his plan for “taking over Gaza,” the Palestinians would have no right of return, while adding that the housing would be better.
