Rabi Lamichhane Appears in Court for Demanding his Release

Rabi Lamichhane, the Chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), and a former Home Minister, who was earlier released on bail by the Kaski District Court, continued on Monday with arguments presented by both government and public prosecutors.

Lamichhane, appeared in court on Sunday to record his statement in connection with a separate case filed against him in Kathmandu. The case is being heard by Judge Madhav Prasad Adhikari.

On Wednesday, senior advocates Sushil Pant and Raman Shrestha, both former attorneys general, made their case in defense of Lamichhane’s release, as they sought to challenge the detention. The proceedings are ongoing as the court evaluates the circumstances of the case.
