Bollywood Actor Saif Ali Khan Stabbed in Home Intrusion, Wife Kareena Kapoor Requests Privacy
Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, 54, was hospitalized after being attacked at his home in Mumbai, the financial and entertainment hub of India, early this morning. The actor, who resides with his wife, movie star Kareena Kapoor, and their two children, was reportedly stabbed by an intruder who broke into their residence around 2:30 a.m. According to a doctor at Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital, Khan sustained six wounds, two of which were deep, one of which was near his spine. The attack also left a female employee at the actor’s home injured, and she is currently receiving medical treatment. Authorities are investigating the incident and have launched a manhunt for the attacker. Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan’s wife, issued a statement saying that the family was fine and requested media and fans to refrain from speculating. She asked for privacy during this time, emphasizing that the police are already conducting their investigation. Saif Ali Khan, who has appeared in over 70 films and television series, is a prominent figure in Indian cinema. He is also known for his work as a movie producer and has earned numerous accolades, including seven Filmfare Awards and the prestigious Padma Shri, India’s fourth-highest civilian honor, in 2010.
