Nepal’s National Pride Projects, aimed at improving public services and boosting economic growth, have shown disappointing progress, with only 25.7% of the allocated budget being spent so far.

Out of the Rs 66.75 billion set aside for 19 projects this fiscal year, just Rs 17.15 billion was utilized by mid-January. The slow pace of spending raises concerns about the effectiveness and timely completion of these key development initiatives, which are crucial for the country’s infrastructure and economic development.
