Netflix has released the much-awaited trailer for the second season of its hit series Squid Game, set to begin streaming on January 11. The series, which became the most-watched in Netflix history with its first season, continues to captivate audiences worldwide.

The trailer reveals 456 players gathering in an arena to compete in a deadly game of life and death. They enter with hopes of clearing their debts and transforming their lives, but for some, death looms large.

In the upcoming season, Lee Jung-jae returns as the main character, once again attempting to save the other players during the intense “Red Light, Green Light” challenge. However, chaos ensues as gunshots fill the air, and the players start to disregard one another’s safety.

Alongside Lee, season 2 also brings back Wi Ha-joon and Lee Byung-hun in their respective roles. The creators have hinted that a third season of Squid Game might be the final one, though this has not yet been officially confirmed.
