By-Election for 41 Vacant Local Level Posts Takes Place Today
Today marks an important day for local governance as by-elections are being held for 41 vacant posts across various local levels. The voting, which will take place from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, is being conducted in the respective local levels. The by-elections include crucial positions such as a mayor and a deputy mayor at the municipality level, two chairs and four vice chairs of rural municipalities, and 33 ward chair positions. These elections are expected to play a significant role in filling leadership gaps and ensuring the smooth functioning of local administrative bodies. According to Nita Pokharel Aryal, spokesperson for the Election Commission, all necessary preparations for the by-election have been completed. Security measures, voting booths, and election staff are in place to ensure a smooth and orderly election process.
